It's been an awful day, as I negotiated the maze which T-Mobile sets before customers who actually want to take advantage of one of their discounts. I ran over my cell phone with a bicycle Sunday (!) and so need to replace it. Now, T is letting Motorola v66's go for a song (they will no longer be selling that model and are clearing their inventory) but they want to ship it from their warehouse in La Grange, Georgia, leaving me without a phone for several days. There is a dealer in town which has the phone but, due to computer-enforced policies, they are required to charge some $85 over the best price. After much discussion with the T people, they agreed to loan me a phone for a few days and ship the phone—provided I place the order tomorrow, instead of today. Glurk!
